the exploration marathon

third stop: new york rubber company

Along the banks of the Fishkill Creek crumble buildings once part of the New York Rubber Company, which manufactured, among other items, tape. The main three story structure is fronted by an even taller tower with decorative columns protruding slightly from it's surface. Just about every pane of glass is broken and inside, the structural damage to floors and ceilings presents a dangerous situation for anyone foolish enough to wander around. Perhaps some of this damage is a result of what a life-long local resident described as 'frequent explosions' at the factory. It seems during it's operation, loud booms reverberated throughout the area- "There goes the tape factory!" was the common reaction.

Ready for the next stop on the marathon?

    Sans roof

The Last Supper, in puzzle form,
left behind in an office
Piles and piles of tape litter the unstable floors

Don't know if this command was obeyed ...   ... but I'm sure that this wasn't.

Think this floor is bad? Wait until the last
stop on the 'marathon.'
Floor loads have been exceeded

You could go upstairs, but I don't think you
want to walk on that floor!
A small machine shop is located near the
main structure. Either this is a parking spot,
or Bob had a cheap funeral.

Schwank!
