Many
fine cars and locomotives have been laid to rest here. Most of the
cars, while musty and layered with dust, are intact. A stroll through
them is like a tour through the history of industrial design. Seating
styles and colors change from decade to decade; if you need any
help placing them, most of the cars contain an old newspaper or
two from which you can find a date. Perhaps the most interesting
car is one that has been gutted (photo: right). It's skeletal remains
lay on the rusty tracks, like some great beast that didn't make
it out of the way of a train.
